Single mom with health challenges and 3 amazing and active children (twin boys age 4, daughter age 6) could really use some help from our community. She is finding it hard to keep up with yard work and cutting grass. Maybe other things too. They live just past the high school.

Responsible for assisting supervisors and fellow workers on construction sites, be involved and participate in regular safety talks and perform tasks involving physical labour. May operate hand and power tools of all types, air hammers and a variety of other equipment and instruments. May be required to clean and prepare sites, dig trenches.
General duties include reporting and working with Senior Construction Workers
Wears when required proper certified personal protective equipment i.e. stainless steel construction safety books, hard hat, eye protection, ear plugs, work gloves
Assist in construction or demolishing of buildings
Construct retaining walls and fences
Load and unload structure materials and move materials in work areas
Maintain good housekeeping at all times
Maintain tools and equipment
Clean up work sites
Remove debris and trash at construction sites using wheelbarrows
The Huntsville Soccer Club is looking for volunteer students for our outdoor 2021 House League season. This is a great way to spend some time outside, and doesn’t interfere with your daytime schedule.
COACHES – Get to know a small group of kids and positively impact their abilities to have fun while playing soccer. Teach them to work as a team, and simply have fun! This year the focus is on playing games, no prior experience required. Support provided by the HSC as needed.
PROGRAM COORDINATOR – Set up and take down the soccer equipment on the fields at McCulley Robertson Sports Complex so kids are ready to have fun in our House League Program. Ensure soccer nets and balls are ready to use, while helping players find their teams as they arrive. No prior experience required. Hands-on support provided by the HSC as needed.
Both positions require a few hours of work each evening from Monday to Thursday during the months of July and August (9 weeks). The HSC will provide volunteer hours, and if you’re a player, we’ll provide a discount on your season House League registration.

General: Muskoka Conservancy is the nature conservancy of Muskoka, and we are passionate about protecting nature. Volunteers, members, partners, donors, and a small staff team is making a big difference operating a land trust with over 2,700 acres of conservation land and several engaging stewardship programs. Muskoka Conservancy is a registered charity governed by a board of directors with a committee structure. Lead by the Executive Director, staff support all functional areas of the Conservancy, including land acquisition and management, engagement, finance, community conservation activities and more.
Position Outline: The Administrative Coordinator (AC) is a wide-ranging position providing both administrative support to staff and volunteers during the busy field season plus an opportunity to lead an outdoor youth leadership project of your own. The position is ideal for those with an interest environmental issues and the outdoors. The successful candidate will demonstrate organizational and time management skills and leadership potential. Experience in administrative support and youth leadership roles will be an advantage. The AC is a temporary full-time summer position at 35 hours per week during typical business hours with occasional flex time for evening and weekend work. The AC reports to Executive Director and includes the following responsibilities:
Administration & reception • Support reception, answering phone calls and emails, responding to information requests. • Support continuity of donation receipting and thank you letters. • Support continuity of mail, bills, invoices, bank deposits. • Support product sales and managing inventory in a small retailshop. • Routine office tasks such as filing and data entry. Youth Conservation Programs and volunteer support • Coordination of events like nature hikes, small workshops, community clean-ups. • Leading youth groups on trail building and maintenance projects. • Supporting volunteers who monitor nature reserves and conservation easements. Communications & Events • Playing an active role in community events, such as speaking or facilitating discussion. • Generating positive posts for Facebook and Instagram. • Creating content for e-bulletins, web site and newsletter. • Assist with the implementation of engagement events. • Processing event registrations and recordkeeping.
Qualifications: • Creative, innovative, and smart • Self-sufficient • Personable, friendly demeanor able to work effectively and courteously with volunteers and the public. • Comfortable working outdoors in typical Muskoka settings. • Some knowledge of local flora and fauna an asset. • A valid drivers’ license and access to a vehicle.

TLDSB is offering a Summer Learning Program (day camp) for primary students Gr 1-3, to support them with their literacy and numeracy skills. Student Assistants will support all aspects of the program which is led by qualified Teachers. Student Assistants are fun, creative, caring and energetic. In this role, Student Assistants will support children with their learning and help to provide a safe, caring, and fun Summer Learning Program.
Responsibilities -be a role model through active and inclusive participation in all aspects of the program -support daily programming, such as playing math and reading games, supervising children, organizing learning materials, leading activities, and assist with daily record keeping as needed -take direction from Summer Learning Teachers -follow Covid-19 protocols Qualifications and Skills Must be:

We are currently seeking 1-2 experienced Landscape Labourers to assist in a large commercial project in downtown Huntsville, Ont. this season.
This position is a temporary contract position that could lead to full time employment for the right candidates.
This position includes assisting MSL crews with the installation of paving stones, retaining walls, plant material, sod, etc. The candidate must be willing to work long hours of physically demanding tasks.
Preference will be given to those with experience operating equipment.

The Summer Employment Opportunities (SEO) Program provides up to 5,000 students with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience through supervised summer employment in the OPS. To be eligible to participate in the program, students must be currently enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary institution, be at least 15 years old, be living in Ontario during the summer and be legally entitled to work in Canada.

As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, the OPS will be monitoring what program adaptations may be necessary for the summer of 2021. We continue to remain flexible in our approach. To the extent possible, proposed changes will be communicated prior to the screening and hiring of students.

Park staff is taking down about 20 privies at Arrowhead and could use some students to salvage some of the fibreglass panels; remove hardware, faucets etc. and help with the demolition. They can work in pairs or alone for physical distancing. They need steel toe boots and we supply the rest.
We have stringent rules and protocols in place to ensure the safety of our staff and visitors so students should feel safe here.
Volunteers don’t need a driver’s license but they do need to get themselves to the park. It may even be an opportunity for us to see some work ethics and the participants may want to be considered for weekend work this winter and full-time next summer.
Work will commence immediately and throughout November.

Camp Tanamakoon seeks camp counselors specifically interested in Arts and Crafts. Overnight camp located in the heart of Algonquin. The contract runs June 21 to Aug 23.
