The Huntsville and Area Historical Society is currently seeking volunteer high school students to assist with our ongoing projects in association with the historic Newholm Church on Brunel. There are 2 areas we would appreciate student assistance:
- Students would be helping with tasks such as digitizing (scanning) documents and working with Excel. This work takes place at the library and is carried out under the supervision of an executive member. This opportunity would be well suited for students interested in history, technology, or gaining valuable volunteer experience. Work could be done after school and on Saturdays.
- Assisting with grounds work on the historic Newholm Church on Brunel Road. Spring cleanup of the church grounds so working outside This work could be done on weekends or after school (vehicle needed) in good weather once the ground is dry enough to work on.
