Garden & Property Maintenance Assistant

We are looking for a reliable, hard-working high school student to help maintain a residential property located on Camp Newport Road along Skeleton Lake. This is a perfect summer gig for a student living in the Utterson, Raymond, or Huntsville area.

📋 Job Details

  • Pay: $20.00 per hour
  • Schedule: 2 days per week (Flexible weekdays, approx. 10–12 hours total).
  • Duration: Late June through late August.
  • Location: Camp Newport Rd, Skeleton Lake. 

🌱 Responsibilities

  • Weeding and watering lakeside garden beds.
  • Clearing brush, raking leaves, and managing clippings.
  • Assisting with light outdoor landscaping and property cleanup tasks.
  • Trimming edges.
  • Mowing cottage lawns. 

💪 Requirements

  • Must be a current high school student.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the Camp Newport Road area.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working outside in summer conditions.
  • Energetic, punctual, and willing to learn.
  • Prior yard work experience is an asset, but not required.

Summer break information

Beginning the week of July 6, the TLDSB Lindsay Education Centre is open to the public Monday to Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Muskoka Education Centre is closed to the public over the break.

All school buildings will be closed to the public for the summer break beginning Monday, July 6, reopening on Tuesday, September 1.

The first day of school for both elementary and secondary students is Tuesday, September 8. Note, Kindergarten students will have a staggered start.
