Student Event Assistant
Hidden Valley Highlands Ski Area / Muskoka Ski Club
Season: December 2026 to the end of March 2027
Schedule: Most Saturdays, 2:30–5 p.m., plus select event shifts
Pay: Student wage
We’re looking for a responsible, dependable high school student to help with Kids Après activities and event set-up and tear-down throughout the winter season.
Responsibilities
- Help staff prepare and run Kids Après games, crafts and activities.
- Welcome children and families and encourage participation.
- Support staff in keeping activities safe, organised and enjoyable.
- Help set up tables, chairs, decorations and supplies for events.
- Assist with Ladies Day, Men’s Day and other seasonal events.
- Help with event tear-down, clean-up and putting supplies away.
What we’re looking for
- Someone reliable, punctual and responsible.
- A friendly, patient attitude and an interest in working with children.
- Willingness to take direction, work as part of a team and pitch in where needed.
- Comfort with hands-on set-up and clean-up tasks.
- Reliable transportation to and from the ski hill.
Previous experience with children, volunteering or events is an asset, but is not required.
Availability and key dates
Kids Après takes place on most Saturdays from 2:30–5 p.m., from December through to the end of March. Additional time may be required for set-up and clean-up.
Availability for these weekday events is particularly important:
- Men’s Day: Friday, January 22, 2027
- Ladies Day set-up and event support:Â Thursday, February 4 and Friday, February 5, 2027
