| We have been delighted to receive applications from schools across the country, and we cannot wait to begin reading them. Applications are still open for the 2026 Loran Award, so please continue to connect the university-bound students in your school with this opportunity and encourage them to submit their applications. We are seeking those who distinguish themselves through their strength of character, commitment to service, and an intrinsic sense of values-driven leadership. Loran Scholars benefit from a four-year leadership enrichment program, financial support for their undergraduate studies, national and international experiential learning opportunities, and a long-term supportive community of peers and mentors, including business and community leaders. In addition to naming 36 Loran Scholars, we will also allocate more than $400,000 in additional one-time awards to up to 54 Loran Finalists and 70 Loran Provincial and Territorial recipients. Applying is always worth the effort! Students can apply at apply.loranscholar.ca. They may also review what sets Loran Scholars apart, how to apply, and check out a sample application form ahead of applying. You can also suggest they watch a webinar recording about the 2026 Loran Award. |

| Your help is a vital component in supporting students to become Loran Scholars. We depend on you to identify and encourage students to apply, and to support them in submitting their applications on time. Thank you for your crucial work. All eligible students are welcome to apply by filling out the application, uploading a transcript, and naming a referee. Ultimately, it is the responsibility of the candidate to ensure that both the candidate and the referee have sufficient time to complete their online form by noon ET on Oct. 16. If a student’s application or reference form is not completed by then, that application will not be considered. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
