Muskoka Conservancy encourages youth to successfully complete post-secondary education in
Natural Sciences (for example, Biology, Forestry, Environmental Studies) or related Technologies
(for example, Wildlife, Forestry, Environmental Engineering). To support this goal, Muskoka
Conservancy is offering a $2,000 bursary to assist students in achieving academic qualifications in
these disciplines.
Requirements:
- Applicants must be permanent residents of Ontario in the geographic boundaries of the
District of Muskoka, and District of Parry Sound and an attendee or graduate of one of the
high schools located within those boundaries. - While priority will be given to applicants entering first year, all undergraduate and graduate
students are invited to apply. - Applicants are required to provide with their application two supporting letters of
recommendation, for example volunteer leader, teacher, employer, community member.
Please do not include letters from family members. - Applicants are encouraged to submit a copy of their resume with their application.
- The successful applicant is further required to demonstrate that they are enrolled and
attending the course of study specified in the bursary application. Additionally, the bursary
will be awarded in two, $1,000 payments. The first payment will be made upon proof of
registration, and the second upon proof of attendance in the second term. - Application deadline is Friday, May 30th, 2025, by 4pm. Late applications will not be
accepted.
