What’s New?Spring Open House
Western’s next open house is on Saturday, March 25. We hope to see lots of Future Mustangs there! Visit welcome.uwo.ca/spring for more information.

Ontario Learn and Stay Grant
We’re excited that two Western Nursing Programs are eligible for the Ontario Learn and Stay Grant. Funded by the Government of Ontario, this grant will cover tuition, textbooks, and other direct educational costs for Ontario residents who commit to working in the London region for a certain term after graduation.

Student Application FAQsThe OUAC deadline has passed – can I still apply to Western?
Yes! Programs still accepting applications will be open on the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC). Apply soon as spaces will fill up!

Are finances a barrier to applying for some of your students? We want to help. In Ontario, you can request a voucher to cover the 101 OUAC application fee. For the rest of Canada, reach out to discuss other options available.

When will I hear back after applying?
For Ontario high school students, we will make offers in rounds, usually after high school grades are made available to the OUAC. The next offer round is in April and the final round is in May. If you haven’t received an offer, we’ll continue to review your application in each round until May. After this, we’ll provide you with a decision. It’s important to remember that you’re still being considered in each round, even if you haven’t yet received an offer.

For the rest of Canada, you can expect to wait an average of 2-4 weeks before you hear back from us. We make decisions on a rolling basis. This means decisions are released each week as we work down the queue of complete applications.

I have an offer! What do I need to do to keep it?
Be sure to log in to your Choose Western Offer Portal at choose.uwo.ca. Your Offer Portal has lots of useful information about your next steps. Importantly, you’ll find the deadline you must accept by and the admissions conditions you need to meet to keep your offer to Western.

What should I do if extenuating circumstances have affected my grades?
Tell us in a Special Consideration Profile by April 30. Extenuating circumstances may include disability, personal illness, financial circumstances, required employment, family illness or other personal or family matters.
