Lakelands B.Ingram Excellence Award

Purpose:
This award is in honour & memory of Lakeland’s Manager of Operations, Bryan Ingram (1978-2024), a father, husband,
and friend with a love for hydro generation, his community, and his family. Bryan was innovative & environmentally
conscious, a great leader and team member. He is known for his ongoing involvement in the Muskoka community
including many years of coaching and volunteering in the South Muskoka Minor Hockey Association. This award is given
to a student who is entering into a post-secondary education in Hydro Mechanics, Mechatronics, Electrical or
Mechanical Engineering (or similar program) with the goal of pursuing a career in the renewable energy field. This
student must demonstrate a keen aptitude for learning and a desire to serve their community. This $5,000 bursary is
granted to one high school student annually from the Muskoka/Parry Sound/Almaguin school districts.
Requirements:

  • Be a high school student graduating in the current academic year.
  • Applicants must be a permanent resident of Ontario in the geographic boundaries that encompass the District of
    Parry Sound, and District of Muskoka.
  • Be graduating high school in 2024 and be attending post-secondary in 2024 (college, trades school, or university) in
    Hydro Mechanics, Mechatronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or similar program) with the goal of pursuing
    a career in the renewable energy field.
