This winter, Huntsville Snow Fest is teaming up with the Downtown BIA and the Chamber of Commerce to offer fun and free theme nights on the outdoor rink in River Mill Park, Downtown Huntsville. As a result, they are looking for volunteers to help with the following programming:
- Funk Fridays – Every Friday from January 24 to February 28.
A glow in the dark skate party featuring a live DJ, black lights, glow necklaces, and outdoor fire. - Silver screen Saturdays – Every Saturday from January 25 to March 1.
A skate in movie experience that features family friendly animated films on the big screen. Visitors can have their photos taken with costume characters and enjoy popcorn and free hot chocolate courtesy of Tim Hortons.
Site volunteer information
- Shift time: 5:30 – 9:30 p.m.
- Duties: Answer questions, give out hot chocolate and glow sticks, walk with mascots, monitor outdoor fire, and face painting (for those with artistic skills)
*Please note, these activities take place outdoors. Volunteers will be working in the cold and possibly snow.
