Course Selection Resources

Guidance counsellors will work with Grade 8 teachers and students during the first two weeks of January and deliver a welcome and registration workshop. All students and parents/guardians are invited to attend HHS for the annual Course Selections Information Night typically held in January. Check with your Grade 8 teacher for details and/or updates.

PowerSchool Login Instructions – Current TLDSB students will need to login to their PowerSchool account to request their courses – all students were sent an email from TLDSB on January 6 with instructions that describe how to do this.

Student usernames are their six-digit student number, the same as you currently use to access TLDSB school computers. After successfully logging in the first time, students will then be prompted to change their password.

If students have any problems logging into your PowerSchool account, they are asked to contact their school’s office staff.

E-Learning Opt Out Form: For students who do not wish to complete the OSSD E-Learning requirement, parents/guardians can fill out and submit this form. This will waive the requirement.

Immunization Record Update: Complete this update with the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit.

TLDSB Registration Form: Note, for assistance with the TLDSB’s e-Reg, please contact the Guidance Department.

Students with Unique Learning Needs (IEP) Survey

Course selection workshops: Counsellors will be visiting homeroom classrooms during the second week of semester two to provide some in-person instruction and answer any questions about the course requesting process.

Power School instructional video: Ms Myers reviews how to enter course requests into the PowerSchool system. Note: this video is two years old – the due date for submission is February 21.
