Port Sydney Parks and Recreation is happy to report that the annual Port Sydney Community Turkey Dinner is back! This year, our event is being held on October 1 from 3:30 to 8 pm. Hello – we are organizing an Ultra series Trail run “The Limberlost Challenge” (https://thelimberlostchallenge.com/) in the Limberlost Forest and Wildlife Reserve on Saturday July 2, 2022. We would like to offer community hours to students who would like to volunteer for the race that day.
The Limberlost Challenge raises money for the Trails Youth Initiative, a charity that mentors high school aged children (www.trails.ca)
There would be a range of activities for the students to assist with including giving out finishers’ medals to racers; assisting at Aid Stations; course marshalling; and site maintenance.
All volunteers will get free T shirts and lunch.

We have decide to establish a park run here in Huntsville. This is our third year organizing the event ( Covid stopped the events for two years). We need volunteer help to make this possible. Volunteer work ranges from helping time the event, marshalling a crucial points, take photographs,Heading out finishers tokens and many more roles.The roles would start around 8:30 and finish around 10 on Saturday mornings at Avery beach. For volunteers it’s a great way to get involved with the community whilst also getting up and outside for a good start to the weekend.

December 1, 2021: James Hunt of Youth Unlimited is selling popcorn as a fundraiser for The Door at Huntsville Otters Junior C home games.
