Course Selection Resources

Guidance counsellors will work with Grade 8 teachers and students during the first two weeks of January and deliver a welcome and registration workshop. All students and parents/guardians are invited to attend HHS for the annual Course Selections Information Night typically held in January. Check with your Grade 8 teacher for details and/or updates.

PowerSchool Login Instructions – Current TLDSB students request their courses in PowerSchool. PowerSchool is accessible via the student TLDSB Single Sign On system. Log in to your TLDSB student account (like when you check your school email) and navigate to PowerSchool. Instructions are available on our website. If students have any problems logging into their PowerSchool account, they are asked to speak to their current teacher and/or contact their school’s office staff.

E-Learning Opt Out Form: For students who do not wish to complete the OSSD E-Learning requirement, parents/guardians can fill out and submit this form. This will waive the requirement.

Transportation Opt-In Form: For students who will require transportation (bussing) to attend school, complete the Opt-in Request Form.

Immunization Record Update: Complete this update with the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit.

OSSD Requirements for Students

Course Selection Google Form (for selecting Grade 9 courses only): Note, if you have an issue accessing the Google Form, please email your guidance counsellor based on your last name.

For students registering for Grade 10, 11, or 12, after you register you will work with your guidance counsellor to request courses.

TLDSB Registration Form: Note, for assistance with the TLDSB’s e-Reg, please contact the Guidance Department.

Students with Unique Learning Needs (IEP) Survey

Course selection workshops: Counsellors will host Course Selection Grade Meetings during the second week of semester two (in February) to review the process and answer questions.
